~ Home Schooling... a big decision
I began home schooling my children in 2005. It was a decision based solely on the fact we were moving to a county that did not have a Christian school. I had desired to be a teacher since my childhood, but never pursued my ambition. After becoming a wife and a mother, my husband and I were heavily involved in a 'ministry' that had a Christian school--therefore we enrolled our children in that school. We knew all the teachers personally and felt very safe and confident of the curriculum being used. I never entertained the thought of pulling them out to home school them... I even had the opportunity to TEACH Kindergarten there the year before we moved (YaHWeH providing me training me for what lie ahead). When the realization came that I would have to be teaching our children at home after we moved, I was VERY intimidated (to say the least!)... but YaHWeH led my every step and helped me in every way that I needed-just in time-EVERY time! :)

And...
I am now VERY thankful for the opportunity that was 'thrust' upon me, for I wouldn't have it any other way!! Home schooling can be very challenging, but also very rewarding. I have such a heart to see mothers who have a DESIRE to home school their children OVERCOME their fears and intimidations of feeling inadequate. I firmly believe that when we step out in courage that YaHWeH meets us there. It can truly be an overwhelming task, but when it's taken slowly-one step at a time-it CAN be done! :) There are SO MANY different "helps" now for homeschooling, as well as "Home School Support Groups".... so I ENCOURAGE you to take that step if it's what's in your heart<3
(Shhh! Big secret... I am currently working on a homeschool website that will have *FREE* lesson plans, activities, videos, etc. to share! ;)
