"Welcome to CandleLight Cottage!" This is a site I have created in hopes to share my heart with others... and to inspire and encourage those that take the time to visit :)
"Why" the name "CandleLight Cottage"? Well, that has been a name that I have 'carried with me' for about 15 years...with lots of dreams and ideas of what it would "be". I had no idea it would 'begin' as a website... But here it is! :)
The word "Candle-Light"... Candles speak of warm-ness to me, intimacy. Light speaks of YHWH/GOD...His fire, His purity (*go to the "Y-H-W-H" dropdown tab above to see more on YHWH). I love what David said in one of his psalms, "For Thou wilt light my candle: YHWH my Elohiym will enlighten my darkness." (Ps.18:28) In the book of Proverbs it says, "The spirit of man is the candle of YHWH, searching all the inward parts of the belly."(Pro. 20:27) Thus, "CandleLight" :)
The word "Cottage"... once again, cottages are small cozy places that speak of close-ness,warm-ness,intimacy. They are dwellings for the modest (as opposed to 'Extravagant'). I feel YaHWeH finds us in the modest places of our heart, where we are poor in spirit and needy for Him. Cottages that make room for that which is priority: our hearts that make room for our GOD <3 And so, that is why I have chosen the name "CandleLight Cottage". I hope it makes a little more since now :)
